Service Description

DraftFilter provides AI-likelihood scoring, sentence-level review, rewrite tools, dashboard history, and public API access for text submitted by users and API customers. Scores and labels are estimates to help evaluate writing. They are not proof of authorship and should not be used as the only basis for employment, academic, legal, or disciplinary decisions.

Accounts And Billing

You are responsible for the activity under your account, API keys, and dashboard credentials. Keep credentials secure and tell us promptly if you believe they were misused. Paid plans, renewals, taxes, invoices, and payment methods are processed through Stripe. Stripe may collect and process billing information under its own terms and privacy policy, and DraftFilter receives billing status, plan, customer, subscription, invoice, and receipt metadata needed to operate paid service access.

Data Retention And Detection Improvement

DraftFilter retains all text submitted to the service, including web scanner submissions, anonymous scans, signed-in dashboard traffic, and API requests.

We use retained text and related metadata to operate, secure, measure, and improve AI detection and rewrite quality.

Retained data may include submitted text, scores, labels, sentence spans, rewrite inputs and outputs, timestamps, account identifiers, API key identifiers, request metadata, quota metadata, and operational diagnostics. We may use this information to debug the service, audit usage, prevent abuse, evaluate model quality, calibrate thresholds, and improve future detection behavior.

Anonymous Scan Handling

Anonymous scans use hashed identifiers for quotas, and the submitted text is retained. The hash helps enforce daily limits and reduce abuse without requiring a dashboard account. Anonymous traffic follows the same retention and improvement policy as signed-in web traffic.

API Traffic

API traffic follows the same policy. Text submitted through API keys, queued jobs, synchronous scans, rewrite requests, callbacks, examples, and client integrations is retained and may be used to improve detection. You are responsible for making any notices or obtaining any permissions needed before sending third-party text to the service.

Data Deletion Requests

To request deletion of submitted text or account data, email support@draftfilter.com with enough detail for us to identify the account, API key, job, scan, or rewrite. History deletion hides items from dashboard view; retained text may continue to be kept and used under this retention policy unless DraftFilter confirms a deletion request or applicable law requires deletion.

Acceptable Use

Do not use DraftFilter to violate law, infringe rights, bypass rate limits, probe or attack the service, reverse engineer protected systems, submit malware, or send text that you are not allowed to process through the service. We may suspend or limit access when needed to protect the service, other users, or legal compliance.

Disclaimers And Liability

DraftFilter is provided as an assistive SaaS tool. Detection and rewrite results may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. DraftFilter is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or decisions made from detection results. Any direct liability is limited to the amount you paid DraftFilter for the service in the three months before the claim, unless applicable law requires more.

Detection is probabilistic. DraftFilter makes no representation or warranty that any text, including rewritten text, will receive a particular score or classification from DraftFilter or from any third-party detection system, now or in the future.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state or jurisdiction in which the DraftFilter operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue for disputes will be the state or federal courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires another forum.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. When changes are material, we will use reasonable efforts to provide notice through the website, dashboard, email, or API documentation. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
